About the event
Every August, they gather to witness the last light of summer. This year... someone won't see the sunrise.
For over a century, an invitation has quietly appeared in the mailboxes of a select few.
No one applies.
No one knows who chooses the guests.
Those invited are summoned to Blackwood Observatory, an abandoned estate perched on a hill overlooking the countryside. Once each August, just before summer begins to fade, the members of an exclusive organization known as The Society of the Last Light gather for an elegant dinner.
Membership is for life.
